Job Description

Our Account Executive is part of a highly productive team that works together to create the best
possible customer experience. The ideal candidate is a passionate, driven sales professional with a track
record of selling SaaS products to nonprofits and/or small businesses. You understand the tech startup
environment, are comfortable moving forward with little direction, and will be excited to help
build/engineering our sales model.

What we look for

  • Two+ years of sales experience

 

  • Experience working in a tech startup is a preferred

  • College degree or equivalent experience (required)

 

  • Ability to travel 25% of time (barring travel restrictions due to COVID-19)

What you will do

  • Sell Civic Champs SaaS volunteer management, engagement, and donor solutions: recruit new
    customers in the nonprofit/social good sector via cold call, inbound request, referrals/warm leads

 

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual goals and metrics as outlined by sales management

 

  • Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified, prospective clients

 

  • Have the ability to be flexible in terms of work environment, whether that is remote or in-person

 

  • Update client data and communications within HubSpot CRM

 

  • Conduct software product demonstrations virtually using screen share technology

 

  • Develop proposals and respond to RFP’s in a timely manner

 

  • Own the sales cycle – from lead generation to closure: foster prospects; build relationships; cultivate
    a consultative sales approach; help build/engineer and manage the sales process through
    responsive, proactive and client-focused communication and client management; understand the
    nuances of the buying process and effectively leverage internal and external resources to close your
    opportunities

 

  • Provide consultative selling: through expertise and recommendations, your ability to provide
    solutions for the needs of the client will increase the quality of our products and services

 

  • Problem solve: you will find ways to improve our business, products, approach and customer
    programs – you listen critically to enhance, improve and augment programs at each step of the way

 

  • Collaborate: you will partner with our Customers Success team to foster the transition from sales to
    customer implementation; collaborate with engineering and product teams to test new features

 

  • Continuously educate yourself on the latest digital volunteer management, engagement, fundraising
    and advocacy best practices in the nonprofit space
