Indianapolis, Ind. (May 9, 2022) – Elevate Ventures today announced the hiring of a new entrepreneur-in-residence (EIR) in central Indiana. Titilayo (Titi) Obasanya will guide and advise entrepreneurs as they start and grow businesses.

Obasanya comes to Elevate Ventures with a wealth of startup and business expertise. Her global experience includes working as a business and strategy consultant for the International Trade Centre, an agency of the United Nations and the World Trade Organization. She also served as director of startups at Semicolon Africa, where she supported more than 20 first-time founders in building innovative products from idea to minimum viable product (MVP) stage. Prior to that, she was an incubation analyst at Co-Creation Hub and a consultant for Builders Academy.

Obasanya holds a BSc degree in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from the University of Lagos and a degree in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University. She said she looks forward to using her skills and experience to help entrepreneurs in Indiana achieve their goals.

“Innovation can come from anyone and anywhere, but we need more enablers of innovation in every country and city,” said Obasanya. “The promise of global economic prosperity is directly connected to how much we embrace entrepreneurship and how we prepare and position entrepreneurs to thrive, first in their community and thereafter region.”

Elevate Ventures began searching for an EIR in early 2022 to meet growing demand for support to navigate the entrepreneurial landscape.

“We’re thrilled to have Titi Obasanya joining the Elevate Ventures team,” said Jacob Schpok, Elevate Ventures’ chief entrepreneurship officer. “Her international experience as both an entrepreneur and startup mentor will bring a fresh perspective to Elevate Ventures and the Central Indiana startup ecosystem.”
