Quantum Advantage

The Quantum Computing (QC) transition is imminent and will inevitably have a disruptive effect on business. QC will offer advantages in the form of unprecedented computational capability, the ability to solve new classes of problems, and will potentially strengthen security. At the same time, QC will radically disrupt enterprise security requiring wholesale review and implementation of QC-proof cryptography. QC’s impact will be felt in every industry, especially those that rely on computation, modeling, and simulation including financial services, transportation, physical and life sciences and security.

It is predicted that practical QC will be a reality beginning 2023, maturing through to the late 2020s. Ignoring the QC future risks falling behind and facing extensive catch up costs, while the well prepared will gain competitive advantage and reduce their risks in security, compliance and disruption. Not everyone needs to be a QC expert, but organizations need to be preparing for the QC future.

Few businesses are ready to reap the benefits and manage the associated risks. Simply put, the time to prepare is now. We, Quantum Advantage, are here to help you put a check mark against all items on your QC readiness checklist.

Microservice Architecture for Quantum Computing

We are designing radical new computing architectures which will enable new classes of Quantum Computing clouds by applying Resource Oriented Computing (ROC) principles to Quantum Computing to develop a cloud architecture specifically designed to harness the power of QC. It is necessary to rethink the structure of the computing architecture such that the cloud computing system is sympathetic to QC and, as such, the quantum opportunity will not be constrained by classical thinking and permit genuinely new solutions to be discovered.

  • Systemic Memoization: Automatic discovery and tracking of minima in the cloud computational energy surface.
  • Dependency and Temporal State Management: Distributed control of Njquist criteria of measured computational state for iterative approximation to “sufficiently good” sampled solutions
  • Dynamic problem partitioning: Active reconfigurable service architectures for dynamic cloud partitioning for data transfer minimisation and throughput optimisation.

OurSafeQ, Virtual Escort, and the Queue Engine

At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic we asked ourselves how we could use our expertise to help. The result was OurSafeQ, a novel queue management system designed to break down barriers and make virtual queueing the norm. The aim was to make it easier for small businesses or individual users to socially distance and avoid lines or waiting rooms. OurSafeQ is powered by the Queue Engine, an ultra scalable, flexible, interoperable and secure microservices based backend system. We built on this cloud SaaS offering through Virtual Escort, an AI/ML powered system for modeling movement to provide prediction, analytics, and anomaly detection based on spatiotemporal data.
