Principal
Sara is a Principal at Elevate Ventures. She is responsible for investment activities, including managing the due diligence process, syndicating deals, and acting as Chair of the Investment Committee, among other responsibilities. Before joining Elevate, Sara worked at the Indiana Public Retirement System (INPRS), where she allocated capital across private asset classes and completed due diligence on fund investments. She is also the Founder and President of the Women Investors Network (WIN), a local networking group for women in the investment industry. Sara holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Butler University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and received Highest Honors in Economics and Finance. She also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and recently earned her Master of Science in Economics from Purdue University. Outside of work, Sara enjoys riding and showing horses. She has a horse named Felix and a cat named Maggie.
- What is your claim to fame? I was named to the Indianapolis Business Journal’s 2022 list of 20 in their Twenties, a program recognizing emerging leaders in Indiana.
- What from your experience directly impacts your work today? Founding and running the Women Investors Network has helped me build my networking skills and become a connector of people.
- What motivates you? I am motivated by helping people reach success. I love working at Elevate because we are helping entrepreneurs and making our state a better place. We are developing Indiana’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and contributing to the state’s economy by providing funding opportunities and resources for startups across all stages.
