Go-To-Market Summit Recap: Where Strategy Met Summer Vibes ☀️

Last week, we turned up the heat and the volume for our most energetic workshop of the season: the Go-To-Market (GTM) Summit. Designed to demystify one of the most vital (yet elusive) aspects of startup success, this half-day event brought together sharp minds, bold ideas, and a whole lot of summer spirit.

With snacks abundant, sweltering heat outside, and a curated Summer GTM Playlist setting the tone, attendees filled the space early, ready to take notes, make connections, and build momentum. From opening remarks in collaboration with Fidelity Private Shares to our final mic drop at 4 PM, the room was buzzing with tactical insights, real talk, and FOMO-worthy energy.

The event opened with Jeanette Renshaw of GrowthX, who delivered a masterclass on identifying and narrowing your Ideal Customer Profile (ICP). She didn’t just break down theory; she lit a fire under every founder in the room, offering practical frameworks and a call to go way deeper than “mid-market SaaS companies.” Jeanette reminded us that the narrower your ICP, the faster you find traction and the less likely you are to build a bloated funnel of false hope. See a more in-depth recap of her session here.

Next, Ian Illig of Stompbox took the baton and ran with it, showing how to build a repeatable sales process in real time. His candid, step-by-step approach gave founders clarity on what it actually means to “sell, then scale” and how to avoid the most common missteps in early-stage GTM execution.

After a much-needed refresh break (cue: chats and summer snacks), Wade Breitzke from +WeCreate tackled branding, identity, and messaging. In his signature energetic style, he unpacked how great storytelling isn’t just about what you do, it’s about how you make people feel.

We closed the day with a powerhouse fireside chat moderated by Nolan Bernard of Alloy Partners. Panelists Michelle Kidd (Vanta) and Pat Rodgers (RISE) pulled back the curtain on their GTM journeys, sharing lessons learned, pivots made, and the non-negotiables they swear by.
