Ellie Symes and Wyatt Wells are on a mission to help reduce the rising costs of maintaining beehives. Their non-invasive technology called Verifli uses infrared image analysis to keep growers and beekeepers updated about the health of their hives to determine pollination quality and information needed to negotiate a fair rental price with crop growers. The company has more than $3 million in funding and its technology has been used to grade over 100,000 hives by beekeepers and crop growers in several U.S. states as well as Australia, New Zealand and Colombia.
