Purdue Wine Tech Startup Hires CEO

WEST LAFAYETTE – VinSense Technology, a startup using Purdue University patented technology to help with wine production has hired a Sonoma County viticulturist as its chief executive officer. Lise Asimont is past president of the American Society for Enology and Viticulture. She also serves as a committee chair for the Unified Wine and Grape Symposium.

“The technology that VinSense offers has a broad application that promotes quality and sustainability,” Asimont said. “Joining their team will give me the chance to bring this new technology to vineyards in California, Oregon and Washington.”

Asimont says she hopes to help perennial farmers with increasing sustainability and efficiency as well. VinSense licensed its technology though the Office of Technology Commercialization at Purdue’s Research Foundation Office. The company also receives entrepreneurial support from the Purdue Foundry in Discovery Park’s Burton D. Morgan Center
