Color Selection Tool
Before you begin to curate documents that customers and other constituents will see you will want to develop a color scheme to enhance your communications. You will want to develop this color scheme in conjunction with your logo and before your tagline is developed.
The best approach for brand color selection is to choose the single color that most embodies the emotional connection you want to build with your customers. Strength, stability, power, trustworthiness, innovation—all of these attributes can be expressed with color.
Color selection involves three steps:
1) Determining the emotional attributes you want your brand to be identified with.
2) Selecting a primary color that embodies those attributes.
3) Selecting one or two secondary colors that will complement or accentuate the primary color.
Use the Color Selection tool to help you determine the colors that will best match the emotional connection you want to build with your customers.
