AIT Bioscience Among Inc.’s 5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies

Indianapolis, IN August 16, 2017 – Inc. magazine today ranked AIT Bioscience NO. 2366 on its 36th annual Inc. 5000, the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment— its independent small and midsized businesses. Well-known names including Microsoft, Dell and LinkedIn gained their first national exposure as honorees of the Inc. 5000.
AIT Bioscience is No. 18 of Indianapolis metropolitan companies and is the highest ranked of any bioanalytical laboratory on this list. The company first appeared on this list in 2015 ranking No. 179.
“Of the tens of thousands of companies that have applied to the Inc. 5000 over the years, only a fraction have made the list more than once,” said Eric Schurenberg, President and Editor in Chief of Inc. Media. “A mere one in three have made the list two times.”

Methodology
The 2017 Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2013 to 2016. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2013. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2016. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2013 is $100,000; the minimum for 2016 is $2 million.
