Indianapolis, Ind. (Dec. 19, 2019) — Elevate Ventures has announced the winners of the first Elevate Nexus Regional Pitch Competitions, held at Innovation Park at Notre Dame, the Lacy School of Business at Butler University and WestGate Academy at Odon. Applications were open to promising Indiana startups looking for a chance to secure capital to launch their businesses.
Out of 75 applications, 67 finalists were invited to compete in their respective region for pre-seed or seed investments from Elevate Ventures. On Oct. 29-31, each of the 67 finalists had 10 minutes to pitch to their regional judging panel. A total of 15 investments were made in the three regions. In addition to receiving funding, each company is considered an Elevate Ventures’ portfolio business and gains access to Elevate’s network of advisors and resources.

Winners of regional awards are invited to compete during the annual statewide Pitch Competition in the category of the regional award they won. The statewide event will be held at the Kinetic conference on April 14, 2020. Statewide finalists will compete for $40,000 pre-seed and $100,000 seed investments.
