INDIANAPOLIS – An Indianapolis entrepreneur is featured on Apple’s first television show. App Press LLC Chief Executive Officer Grant Glas pitched his mobile app publishing company to a panel of celebrity judges including Jessica Alba, Gwyneth Paltrow and Will.i.am on Planet of the Apps. The reality television show is streamed through Apple Music and involves entrepreneurs giving a minute-long pitch to the panel, which also included Zane Lowe, a music producer, and entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk. Winners receive additional pitch time and a chance at potential venture capital investment.

App Press was launched in 2010 and has grown to employ 18 at its office in The Union 525 in downtown Indianapolis and throughout the world. Glas calls the experience “life-changing” and says it was “an adventure I would not even of fathomed when we started the company in 2010. The best part of participating in the filming of the show is being featured on the homepage of the App Store and meeting iOS app Founders from all over the United States, trying to create something special and taking significant risks to make their ideas a reality.”

App Press’s customers include Nordstrom, Verizon Wireless, WeddingWire and Simon Property Group. In 2014, it received a more than $1 million round of funding led by Indiana’s Elevate Ventures.
