SOUTH BEND, IND., – GiveGrove, a platform that makes hosting fundraising events easy and effective for both event administrators and donors, has been awarded an Elevate Ventures High-Potential Startup Grant (HPSG).
Elevate Ventures provides HPSGs to help entrepreneurs overcome hurdles to attain a specific measurable milestone. This pre-seed program awards up to $25,000 to high-potential startups in regions where communities have invested in entrepreneurism.
“HPSGs are a valuable resource available to companies in North Central Indiana, and Elevate is excited to aid GiveGrove in its continuing progress,” says Gavin Ferlic, Elevate Ventures Entrepreneurial Engagement Director.
This HPSG will enable GiveGrove to develop additional platform features and integrations, add talent to its roster and continue client acquisition efforts.
GiveGrove formed to work directly with the South Bend Center for the Homeless to find a digital solution for registration and donations in preparation for their largest fundraising event of the year, which also happens to be St. Joseph County’s largest annual single-night event fundraiser. GiveGrove worked with the Center’s fundraising team to develop a platform conducive to their needs. The event received a record number of pre-event and overall donations and saved the organization thousands of dollars in vendor fees.
The success of the fundraiser through the platform made GiveGrove team members realize that the product merited additional investment and development.
